This was another opportunity to paint from Blumenschein's Courtyard Garden, what a joy to have this right outside the East Studio. I must say though what makes this unique is this was painted all "Plein Aire" multiple sessions in the same spot. The French Impressionist's did this all the time, Monet and his Cathedral's is a great example. I would bring out my large easel, palette, umbrella and set up and would create for about two to three hours a day, it all depended on the light. This was the first time from the first wash until completion of this gem, that it never saw the inside of a studio to complete all "En Plein Aire". I must say though exhausting but was a great journey.
